Last year we could not have asked for a more beautiful day...bright blue sky, warm sunshine and moderate temperatures, a most perfect day.

Sponsored by Honest Aire, Renner & Co., Simpson Development Co., and Virginia Commerce Bank; and with food by Hard Times Café, Pork Barrel BBQ, Alexandria Cupcake, and Ben & Jerry's; this picnic was an opportunity for the citizens of Alexandria to thank and get to know the men and women of the Alexandria Fire Department and their families.
The event featured musical performances by BumpKin Pie, Herb & Hanson, The Kate Moran Band and games like Moon Bounce, Inflated Obstacle Course, and Frisbee Golf. Fire and EMS apparatus was rotated in throughout the picnic giving those attending a chance to "explore" modern fire equipment.
Wonderful food, great music, and good fellowship was had in abundance; and it could not have happened without your support. We will continue to raise funds for the Alexandria Fire Department to support much needed equipment and training.
